Welcome to Svensk Värdeförvaring! With convenient locations in central Stockholm and Gothenburg, we offer an array of secure safe deposit boxes tailored to your requirements. Our facilities are fortified with advanced security systems, ensuring the utmost protection for your valuables.
Choose from a selection of box sizes, each designed to accommodate various items such as documents, jewelry, hard drives, and more. To ensure an efficient and secure visit, we operate on an appointment-only basis. For inquiries, appointments, and more information, please don’t hesitate to contact us through email or phone.
To rent your safe deposit box, fill out the form ‘Hyr Bankfack’ below where you will choose your desired location, the size of the box, and fill in your personal information, as well as the time and date you want to visit us.
After you’ve filled in the form, you will be subjected to a background check that includes a review of public criminal records and initiated prosecutions for any serious criminal records, a minor credit check to ensure there are no debts with the Swedish Enforcement Authority (Kronofogden) without revealing income or sharing data with future credit providers, and a cross-reference against the EU’s sanctions lists. Once this has been approved, usually within 24 office hours, you will receive your booking confirmation via email.

Comprehensive Insurance Options
When you entrust your belongings with us, your security is our top priority. Svensk Värdeförvaring AB insures items stored in our safe deposit boxes via Brookfield Underwriting AB through globally recognized insurance companies Everest and Markel.
Our insurance safeguards against fire, theft, and water damage. Standard pricing includes coverage up to 50,000 SEK per safe deposit box, with options to enhance protection to 100,000 SEK, 200,000 SEK, or 500,000 SEK per box. This insurance ensures compensation when your existing home or property insurance falls short. Further details can be found in our terms and conditions.
Brookfield Underwriting AB
Our insurance partner, Brookfield Underwriting AB, specialise in insurances for higher value homes, collections, and valuable items, primarily for clients based in the Nordics. Founded in 2010, they are an insurance agency backed by well-regarded and financially secure insurers. Svensk Värdeförvaring’s insurance agreement has been contracted with Markel Insurance SE and Everest Insurance (Ireland) via Brookfield Underwriting AB. Both Everest and Markel boast strong financial ratings, with at least A (Strong) from both S&P and A.M. Best.
Insurance Coverage Options
- 50,000 SEK: Included with all safe deposit box rentals.
- 100,000 SEK: Additional 250 SEK/year
- 200,000 SEK: Additional 750 SEK/year
- 500,000 SEK: Additional 2,250 SEK/year
Rigorous Security Measures
Our facility’s security, designed by leading security consultants, meets strict industry standards. Gunnebo-manufactured safe deposit boxes feature both electronic locks controlled by a biometric scanner and locks opened with personal keys. These boxes are exclusive to registered customers, ensuring only they have access, further reinforced by hand scanning during unlocking.
Maintaining robust security relies on strict protocols. Staff continuously train to adhere to these measures.

Our facilities
Stockholm: In 2021, Svensk Värdeförvaring opened its first facility at Jakobsbergsgatan 13 in central Stockholm, previously the location of Riksgälden’s premises. After extensive renovations, it now meets the security requirements of customers and partners. It’s located close to Stureplan, Kungsträdgården, and Hötorget’s metro station. For those driving, parking is available at NK’s Parkaden and Oxtorgsgaraget.
Gothenburg: In 2023, Svensk Värdeförvaring opened its second facility at Östra Hamngatan 16 in central Gothenburg, formerly Nordea’s cash vault which boasted top-level security. Post-renovations, it caters to the safety demands of clients and partners. It’s situated next to Gustav Adolfs Square, close to tram stops, and within walking distance of the central station and Avenyn. Parking is available at Nordstan’s parking garage.
Malmö (Coming soon): The selection of the right location is importance to us. We are committed to ensuring that the chosen location aligns with our high and strict quality standards. The search for the ideal location has taken longer than anticipated. Rest assured; we are actively engaged in identifying the perfect location and facility. Once we identify a location that meet our requirements, we will be able to provide you with a precise estimate of our opening date.
